LPGA Professional • Author • Mentor • Champion in Life
Avis Brown-Riley’s journey is a story of passion, perseverance, purpose, and determination. From picking up a golf club at seven years old to becoming an LPGA Professional, author, mentor, and champion in life, Avis has built her life around using golf and her experiences to help others.
She won her first golf tournament at eight years old and, at age 10, became the first African American to win the Junior World Golf Championship. Her accomplishments continued through college and professional golf, eventually leading to her becoming an LPGA Professional Class A member.
But Avis’s story goes far beyond golf. Through her work with young people, her book Building of a Champion, and her commitment to empowering women and children, she continues to inspire others to develop character, confidence, and perseverance.
Her message is simple: Don’t Give Up! Never Give Up!
